Chamber Music Coaching with Our Musicians

Personalized coaching to help you grow as a musician, whether you're preparing for a performance, working through challenging repertoire, or exploring chamber music for the first time.

How Does Coaching Work?

Coaching sessions are a great opportunity for students who want more personalized guidance, whether you’re preparing for an audition, learning a challenging piece, or improving skills like intonation, rhythm, and ensemble communication.

You do not need to be a member of the Village Chamber Orchestra to sign up for coaching sessions — our program is open to everyone!

What to Expect from Coaching

Two boys are sitting and playing cellos in a music classroom. The room has wall-mounted violins and violas. The boy in the foreground is wearing a navy shirt and beige shorts, while the boy behind him is wearing a blue polo shirt. Sheet music is on a stand in front of them.
  • Coaching sessions typically range from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your needs and schedule. Everything is flexible and tailored to you!

  • Bring your instrument, any music you would like to work on, a pencil for marking your part, and any questions or goals you want to focus on during the session.

  • Coaching sessions typically range from $20 to $45, depending on the tutor’s experience and location. You can always ask your tutor for more specific pricing details!

  • Unfortunately, The Village School is not open during the summer, so coaching sessions will take place either at your home or at the tutor’s home.

  • Come with an open mind and a willingness to learn. If you have specific goals — such as preparing for an audition or working on a particular piece — let your instructor know when requesting the session so they can prepare accordingly.

  • Many tutors include their contact information in their resumes. Additionally, when you submit the coaching request form at the bottom of this page, the coach you selected will be notified and will reach out to you directly!
